Helicobacter Pyliori

Q: Hi again Lesley, I am just wondering if you would have any advice for me to pass on to my older son (33) who is suffering from helicobacter pyliori and who is on a third course of conventional treatment. He smokes, and as a paramedic has a fairly stressful job. Like all parents I worry about him and of course would like to find the instant cure. Any advice would be appreciated.

A: For this condition I favour a combination of our Filisa, which is the Sutherlandia Frutescens plant. The plant is an adaptogen which means that it helps the body to use it's own resources to cope with mental and physical illness. However, the Sutherlandia plant also contains a number of key chemicals which are very beneficial for our health. As well as helping the body to deal with stress, Sutherlandia also contains L-Canavanine which is well documented as being anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral. As helicobacter pylori is a bacterial infection, Filisa can be very beneficial. I would also recommend taking a product called Allitech from Dulwich Health along with Filisa.

Your son should also take extra Vitamin C - for every cigarette he smokes he uses up 25mg Vitamin C. Vitamin C mops up free radicals and supports the adrenal glands.
